Serengeti Stop Over is situated approximately 135 kilometers from the prime town of Mwanza and only one kilometer from Ndabaka Gate of Serengeti National Park, and then from the renowned Lake Victoria which is the largest fresh water lake on the African content, it is just a walk-able distance. The lodge is 2.5 km from the airport in Mwanza.

Accommodation at Serengeti Stopover Lodge:

here, Accommodation is offered in ten spacious self-contained roundavels with huge verandahs or windows looking over the vast plains.  The beautiful bathrooms are supplied with all rounding flowing water having hot in the showers. The spacious rooms are beautifully furnished using local materials and worth mentioning is the fact that the interior of these rooms is exquisite.

Explore the vast Serengeti National Park

Serengeti Park is a huge park covering about 5,700 square miles, and during the peak season there are several hundred of Safari vehicles with tourists enjoying game drives who have traveled from all parts of the world.

The ecosystem of the renowned Serengeti National Park supports the biggest migratory herds, as well the greatest quantity of large predators in the entire world. At first sight, you will certainly be overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals living here. On Estimates you will find 440,000 Thomson’s gazelles, nearly 2 million wildebeests and then 250,000 zebras among other different herbivores in large numbers. Among the huge carnivores here Hyenas are the most prevalent with an estimated population of 9,000, then about 2,800 lions plus 1,000 leopards. In general, cheetahs are the most uncommonly seen in this park among the huge predators. Even so, the Serengeti has the largest population of cheetahs on the entire African continent especially during particular times of the year with approximately 40 animals per 60 sq miles of the short-grass plains across the park during the wet seasons.
